Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
1. Who we are
REHL is operated by Rehl, Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation with operations in Florida (“REHL,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on rehl.us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Section 4 also covers a home buyer's funds documents that a real estate agent uploads to REHL as part of the agent's offer certification. Questions can be directed to privacy@rehl.us.
2. What we collect
We currently collect a limited set of information from visitors to rehl.us:
- Inquiry submissions. If you submit a contact form, find-an-agent request, home-value request, open-house sign-in, or beta-access application, we collect the name, email, phone number (if you provide one), brokerage or company name, market, and any free-text comments you provide.
- Text-messaging consent. If you check the box to receive text messages, we record your phone number, the exact consent language you agreed to, and the date, time, and IP address of your opt-in, so we can honor and evidence your consent.
- Direct correspondence. Emails you send to
hello@rehl.us,mls@rehl.us,legal@rehl.us, or related addresses, including any information you choose to include. - Server logs. Standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
- Essential cookies. Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function. We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies on rehl.us.
- Site analytics. We measure aggregate traffic on rehl.us: which pages are viewed, the site that referred you, and coarse device, browser, and country information. We also count aggregate actions on a page, such as how many readers submitted the newsletter form and which article they were reading at the time. We count that a submission happened and on which page; we do not send your email address or any other detail you typed into that form to our analytics provider. This is all measured without cookies and without any identifier that persists across days. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to identify you, and we do not measure traffic this way on a brokerage's own branded site.
- Email engagement. When a brokerage using REHL sends you marketing email that you asked to receive, we record whether you opened it and whether you clicked a link in it, along with the time. Opens are measured with a small tracking image; clicks are measured by routing the link through our email provider. We use this to tell the brokerage's agent whether you are interested, and it contributes to the interest score they see for you. We do not track the unsubscribe link, and once you unsubscribe we stop recording your engagement entirely. Marketing email is the only email we measure this way: we never track opens or clicks on transactional messages (document signing, alerts, account mail) or on an agent's personal one-to-one reply to you. We do not do this at all for recipients in California.
We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, or sensitive categories of personal information (race, religion, health, political views, sexual orientation, union membership) on rehl.us. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. Business contact information
We keep business contact details for real estate professionals, such as a name, work email address, job title, brokerage, and the city and state they work in. Some of it comes from public records that state licensing authorities publish, and some comes from third-party companies that sell business contact data. We may also collect it from a brokerage's own public website.
We use this information only to contact those professionals about REHL. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside REHL and the service providers who help us operate. We do not use it to market to home buyers, sellers, or the general public.
Every message we send includes a way to opt out, and opting out stops all further email from us. You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at rehl.us/privacy/data-request or by emailing privacy@rehl.us.
4. Funds documents in an agent's offer certification
When a real estate agent who uses REHL makes an offer for a home buyer, the agent can upload the buyer's pre-approval letter from a lender, or a statement from a bank or other financial institution showing the buyer's funds, as part of the agent's offer certification. This section explains what happens to that document. Other documents attached to an offer are kept with the offer record.
- Our role. For these documents, REHL works on behalf of the agent's brokerage. The brokerage and its agent decide whether to upload a document and whether to share it. REHL stores and transmits it on their instructions.
- Who gives it to us. The buyer's agent uploads it, or someone at the agent's brokerage uploads it for them. We do not ask buyers to upload it themselves.
- What we store. We store:
- the document as uploaded;
- the date the agent records for it (and, for a pre-approval letter, its expiration date);
- a digital fingerprint of the file;
- a record of who uploaded it and when;
- a record of each time it is shared and each time sharing ends.
An agent may upload a copy with account numbers or amounts covered.
- Why we have it. So the agent can state, in the certification they sign with REHL, that the document is on file, and so the agent can share it with the seller's side of the offer if the buyer agrees. We do not use it for anything else. We do not use it for marketing. We do not use it to score you. We do not use it to train or run artificial intelligence. We do not sell it.
- Who can see it.
- The agent who uploaded it, and people at that agent's brokerage who can see that offer in REHL.
- The seller's agent or broker, ONLY if your agent chooses to share it and tells REHL that you agreed. If you have told REHL, in REHL's buyer certification for that offer, to show the seller's side only that your funds were certified, REHL will not let the document be shared. If it was already shared, REHL stops sharing it.
- People at REHL, only where needed to run, secure or support the service.
- Others, only where the law requires it.
- We do not check it. REHL does not verify that the document is genuine, current or accurate, and does not contact your lender or bank. A note that a document is “on file with buyer's agent” is your agent's statement, not REHL's.
- Once shared. If the seller's side downloads a shared document, REHL cannot recall that copy. That copy is then held under the seller's agent's or broker's own practices. When sharing ends, the seller's side can no longer open the document through REHL.
- How long we keep it. We keep the document until the brokerage deletes it, or 90 days after the offer is withdrawn, expires or is declined, whichever comes first. If the offer leads to a signed purchase contract, the document stays with that transaction record for as long as the brokerage keeps the record. After the document is deleted, we keep its digital fingerprint and the agent's signed certification, because the certification is a signed record.
- Deleting it or getting a copy.
- You can ask us to delete the document by emailing privacy@rehl.us. Because we hold it for your agent's brokerage, we will let the brokerage know and delete our copy, unless the law requires us or the brokerage to keep it.
- You can also ask your agent to remove it.
- To get a copy of what REHL holds about you, use rehl.us/privacy/data-request.
- Security.
- The document is kept in private storage that has no public link. It can be opened only through REHL, after a permission check, and each download is checked against the file's fingerprint.
- It travels over encrypted connections, and it is stored in a private store and encrypted at rest (AES-256) by our storage provider.
- If a security breach affects it, we will tell the brokerage promptly and help it notify you as the law requires.
5. How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and process beta-access applications.
- Evaluate partnerships with brokerages, agents, lenders, and MLS organizations.
- Operate, secure, and improve rehl.us.
- Measure whether you engaged with marketing email you asked to receive, and use that (together with what you do on the brokerage's site) to score how actively you are looking. That score helps decide the order of the agent's lead list, alerts that brokerage's agent when it rises past a set level, and can prompt us to redraft the agent's planned follow-up messages.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share inquiry submissions with third parties except as described below. No mobile information (your phone number and SMS/text-messaging consent) will be shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your phone number and check the consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from REHL, or from the brokerage or agent you contacted, about real estate opportunities, your inquiries, listing and saved-search updates, appointment and showing details, and related follow-up.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to receive texts to use our services or to buy or sell a home.
- Message frequency varies based on your activity and how you interact with us.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe at any time, or reply HELP for help. You can also email privacy@rehl.us.
- No sharing of mobile data. No mobile information (your phone number and SMS/text-messaging consent) will be shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site and respond to inquiries, under contract and on a need-to-know basis. These currently include:
- Hosting and infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, Fly.io, Neon), to serve the site and store form submissions. Vercel also processes cookieless, aggregate page-view measurements for rehl.us on our behalf.
- Email delivery (e.g., Postmark, Google Workspace), to send and receive correspondence. For marketing email you asked to receive, our email provider also records whether you opened the message or clicked a link in it, and holds that record on our behalf. It processes this only to deliver and measure messages for us, not for its own marketing.
- Text-message delivery (e.g., Twilio), to send the text messages you opt in to receive. These providers process your phone number and message content only to deliver messages on our behalf, not for their own marketing.
- The brokerage or agent you contacted. When you submit a find-an-agent, showing, home-value, or similar request, we share your contact details, including your phone number and text-messaging consent, with that brokerage or agent so they can respond to and follow up on your request.
- The seller's side of an offer. A buyer's funds document uploaded as part of an agent's offer certification, only as described in Section 4.
- Error and performance monitoring (e.g., Sentry), to keep the site reliable.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the rights of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will provide notice consistent with applicable law).
8. How long we keep it
Inquiry submissions are retained for as long as the inquiry remains active and for a reasonable period afterward to support follow-up. Server logs are retained for a short window (typically 30-90 days) for security purposes. We will delete information earlier on request, subject to legal retention requirements. Funds documents uploaded as part of an agent's offer certification are kept as described in Section 4.
Signed records. When a real estate agent signs an offer certification through REHL, we keep the signed text, the signer's name and license details as shown in it, and when and how it was signed, for as long as needed to establish or defend legal claims about it, even after a deletion request. We delete the signer's IP address and device details on request unless a legal claim about the record is pending.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and similar regulations. These rights generally include:
- Access, request a copy of information we hold about you.
- Deletion, request that we delete your information.
- Correction, request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Objection, object to certain uses of your information.
- Non-discrimination, we will not retaliate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@rehl.us. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
You can also request a copy of your data yourself at rehl.us/privacy/data-request. We will confirm your email, compile your data, and send you a secure link to download it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is fully secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as required by law.
11. International transfers
REHL operates from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
